ASHBURY handmade clay roof tiles have been independently tested by CERAM® Building Technology to ensure that they comply with British Standards / European Norms required for clay roof tiles.

 

All Ashbury Handmade roof tiles comply with:

  • BS EN 538:1994 - Determining Flexural Stength

    •  

  • BS EN 539-2:1998 - Testing for Frost resistance

    •  

  • BS EN 539-1:1994 - Impermeability to water

 
The tiles are tested in our on-site laboratory throughout their production ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required to meet the relevant British Standards. They are then tested at CERAM® (an independent facility, approved by both UKAS and the British Standards Institute) on average 2-3 times a year to gain certification.
